One of the most fulfilling and most challenging journeys you may ever go on is seeing what your body is able to do. There might be a chance you are in shape, completely out of shape, or just expecting to lose some weight. Nevertheless, developing a body that you can be proud, one that's healthy, and permits you to truly adore each last piece of it truly is an amazing journey to travel down.

So what is the real secret behind making a lasting change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table every day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you will become lackadaisical and discouraged. As an alternative understand you're competing with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But each time you do, you must come back with a firm dedication to achieving something you strongly desire. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field each day. Without it, you will suffer the the unavoidable reality of many new years resolutioners who give up each single year on developing the body of their dreams because they lack the power to keep on coming back repeatedly timeand again.

Commitment also is evoked, but not the commitment that you are probably thinking about. In our world, we are fed this concept that everything must happen at the moment and if it doesn't occur now, it's not worth it. Your body is going to drastically change throughoutthe years, so why not make a lifelong promise to keeping healthy? Is that a marketable and sellable idea? Not so much. But is it something that could truly change the course of your life? Definitely.

When you make a commitment to keeping your body healthy all throughout your entire life, you will ultimately reach whatever goal you wish. It is about seeing the big picture than just the few months in front of you till summer. It's about developing something you can be proud of for all the years to come. For me, that concept changed the course of my life as I was able to eventually hit my health targets after 12 years of fighting with my self-image and food issues. But as soon as I modified my world view of what I was trying to attain, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it's working for you. Make a total commitment to keeping healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term too.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all facets of your life, and things will change radically.
